That'll teach me to have too much fun
Oct. 24th, 2011 03:30 pmThe Zombie Walk was pretty cool. This year it kicked off with a real live (or real dead) zombie wedding. Two of the founders of the walk tied the knot to a ghoulish rendition of the wedding march in full zombie makeup.
Unlike last year where streets were closed off for the walk itself, we were stuck on sidewalks this time. It got very crowded (especially when we hit Chinatown) and not conducive to theatrics. Plus I didn't sleep well the night before so I didn't have to do much acting. I went as a corporate zombie because my corporate clothes fit again, they were pretty warm and I didn't want to lug around a change of clothes for Tanjah's party (immediately) afterward. I removed my makeup in the tiny restaurant bathroom.
It was nice to see Tanjah and a bunch of other people I don't get to see very often. I had a damn good meal (Asian vegan) but finances prevented me from drinking even though I DESPRATELY wanted to.
I spent yesterday exhausted and achy and am marginally better today. I'll be going to bed early again.
Gonna go get the heating pad.
