So it looks like Myles won't be posting prom pics on Facebook with him gazing adoringly at his friend Shane. But I saw him today in Kensington Market along with his dad and he seemed to be all right. It was great to see him at any rate.
At one point we ran into Ken and I introduced Myles as my nephew without thinking. I asked him later if that was weird. He said, "no,why would it be?" And for the first time since I broke up with Rob I went to the whole "well, I'm not with your uncle Rob anymore" place. He said that didn't matter and that he told his friends he was hanging out with his dad and his aunt after school today. I was happy to hear that.
Still scared shitless about having to find a new home, but I'm going to try and count my blessings.
